The reach of the Building Safety Act may well surprise you. It affects more buildings than is commonly understood.
Notably, there are provisions of the Act which are applicable to all buildings. As expected however, "higher-risk buildings" are subject to a greater number of provisions.
The Act includes more than one definition of "higher-risk building" and regulations providing further guidance on which buildings are affected by the Act are expected to be made by the Secretary of State.
